    Yes, a California dad...also my son's name is CAL....so Caldad is a good moniker. We usually stay at a Harrahs property because of the free offers, Flamingo, Harrahs, Rio. OR we stay at the Station Casinos becaus eof the feel!. Thanks for the welcome!

    I stood looking at that view of the Pacific Ocean in late April, and had a hard time leaving the rail to do anything else...heh heh. Even now, my blood pressure drops if I spend some time with the photo..image

    Shane was rescued from a family with 4 little kids and 9 puppies. He had corn syrup all over his head when we got him (in 1966). We lost him at age 12.

    Kodi (tan and white) was with us until 2006. We rescued her from a bad home, at 11 months old. She weighed 23 pounds when she should have weighed about 50. Just ribs and backbone, poor thing. She had fear aggression and hated men in particular. Turned around beautifully. She left us (cancer) at 13 1/2. Don't think I can do it anymore....it's too hard to lose them.

New Residents for a few weeks

This year, I hung a 'leap year' (thus the frogs!) wreath between the garage doors.....

It wasn't long before a Robin family decided it was the perfect place to raise a family.....

The younguns are starting to look more like robins now....and I'll take another photo every three or four days as I have so far.


Golly, gee, gosh! I went out 3 days after this photo was taken (it had been storming that long!) and the three flew away in a panic when I was 15 feet away. And, what a MESS the garage wall is sporting.... image Those worms are going right through them!
